Patrick W. Brophy joined MMG in 1995, and leads the firm’s insurance coverage practice as well as our complex motion practice and appellate practice. He has experience in a multitude of practice areas such as admiralty actions, civil rights cases, corporate litigation, commercial disputes, and insurance coverage matters in addition to the Firm’s main practice areas. Admitted to practice in New York State Courts, New Jersey State Courts, the U.S. Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S District Court of New Jersey, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, Patrick has taken more than a dozen verdicts in New York Supreme court and U.S. District Courts in New York. Patrick deftly handles the Firm’s most complex litigation issues; his analytical approach is imperative to achieving the best outcomes for our clients.
In addition to his achievements at MMG, Patrick is a member of several legal and civic organizations including: The Defense Research Institute, the Defense Association of New York, the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association where he served as the Chairman of the Tort Law section from 2000-2003.
Patrick graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law in 1990. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics with highest honors from Lehigh University in 1987.
